My fellow citizens,
The road to a new republic that we founding fathers took, started first by concerned citizens, gathering in small groups, in their communities, much like you are doing today in your meetup groups as the various groups learn, plan, coordinate and organize.
But most of our discussions revolved around what was happening to us, learning from each other what their views of the importance of action, vs. inaction. It was discussion about the concern of the direction of our country. We put to pen and paper, the list of concerns, and delivered it to the British Government. This first letter, which was one of many, was written by my good friend, Benjamin Franklin.

This Redress of Grievences was issued, and served to help us focus our efforts as a group, on those issues which were of most importance to us in our day.
