My fellow Americans,

While most of the nation is fast asleep, there have been a few Teaparty and 912ers who have been busy working toward what will begin in just a few hours. Soon, patriots all over the eastern seaboard will be making their way toward our nation's capitol, Washington, D.C. By bus, train, plane, and cars, thousands are coming. Many are already there, preparing the way.

But I ask you: "What does the March on DC on 912 mean?"

I don't know the precise answer to that, but I intend to find out. So I ask, you, who are making your way, or if you are reading this after the event is completed, why are you going; why did you go?

For many, this will be a first experience of this kind. What is it that brings together people who do not even know each other, to assemble in this manner?

Part of the answer is that each of us knows that we must unite.

While we are not quite sure what that means, just yet, we know that as individual concerned citizens, we are not being heard by our government.

We are ignored when we ask questions. Our letters are ignored.

We are treated as if we have no idea about how to live our own lives.

We know that the audacity of arrogance, and power, is what ultimately has corrupted our government, and that we, united, must bring the government back to the people.

We are now learning that when we come together, united in purpose, that we can do more as a group, than alone.

I am very much looking forward to hearing from you about this event. I believe it is a turning point for this country, and we will look back and say

"9-12-09 is when we started to turn this country back on the right path. I'm proud that I was there with all the others, fighting for Liberty once again."

What you can do NOW

My fellow citizens,

Sometimes, thieves come to your house in the middle of the night. Sometimes, you are pick pocketed in broad daylight. Either way, both serve to remove liberties from you and your family. What is happening in this country is a systematic removal of your liberties; we saw the same thing happen to us by the British Monarchy and Parliament more than 200 years ago.

It is happening in the middle of the night when legislators pass bills while you sleep, after they have not read the pending law, and back room signing ceremonies by the President have completed the process to pass yet another law or executive order that by all standards, is not constitutional. It is happening in broad daylight, when citizens gather in peaceful protest, and they are branded as potential threats, 'radical extremists', to the functioning of 'their' government.

It is happening in every branch of government, and at every level, with 'pay to play' special interests and lobbying, no term limits for elected officials, and even in the judiciary, where we see a very insidious form of judicial tyranny and judicial imperialism where, in the words of the most recent supreme court justice nominee, policy (legislation) is made from the bench.

Bailouts and stimulus plans, to help failing business remain in business, is not the American way. We founders never envisioned the federal government wielding so much power as to now nationalize the banks, the transportation industry, and which is a current topic, the nationalization of health care.

The founding fathers are becoming increasingly concerned about the speed at which liberty is slipping away in this great country that we founded.

So the question becomes, what can you, each of you who are awake to what is going on, actually do about it?

We have some suggestions for your serious and careful consideration:

1. Vote out all of the incumbents in the next upcoming election. This is the only way to put the power back in the hands of the people. It must be that government fear the people, but right now, the people fear the government.

We all realize that this may mean that some good and faithful servants who actually are doing the work of the people, will also fall in this excision, but the cancer must be cut out, we must dispose of all the garbage in Washington. It does not take a third party, all it takes is your one vote to be cast against every incumbent running. If the hundreds of thousands in the 912 movement alone can rise up, and vote as one block, all over the country, it will send a very important message to all who serve as our elected officials-beware of us. There is power in numbers working together.

2. Vote with your pocketbook. There are postings all over the net describing and detailing who the recipients of the TARP bailout and stimulus monies were. Just as we did in early America, boycott those businesses.

Take for example a large bank in your town. Nearly all of these larger banks received stimulus money-your money, for mistakes they made in running their business. I realize that there are arguments that they were 'forced' to make bad loans by the government. But doesn't that again show that the government cannot be trusted to ensure the safety of the economy? The nationalization of these banks, car companies, and perhaps soon, health care, should send a shiver of fear down the spine of every American.

Our proposal on what you each can do today: take your money out of those banks that accepted bailout money. Do not buy products from companies that have been nationalized by the government. Use your collective economic power to determine the outcome. In a large metropolitan area, there are banks that received bailout money, and there were those that did not. Take your money out of those that did, and put it in the hands of responsible businesses. Do not let these government-controlled banks have access and use to your money.

Instead of a GM or Chrysler car, buy a Ford, or buy a foreign car that has large manufacturing operations in the U.S. which are not controlled by unions. Send the message that you will not allow government control of business.

In all of this, the point is to take the money out of the system so that these companies, and the government, do not have access to your money. We have powers in numbers working together. And when you take your money out, be sure to drop a letter to the CEO of the bank or the business you are boycotting, and tell them why. When they receive thousands of these letters, and they see their balance sheets dry up, they will know it is the power of the people at work.

3. After you have voted out all the incumbents in 2010, then start the process of vetting the new candidates for office in 2010. Support those candidates that share your principles and values. Make those candidates sign a pledge of how they will conduct themselves. Ask them to refuse special interest monies, which means you have to work harder for them as they will have less funds to work with. But we have power in numbers when we are working together.

4. Participate, recruit, continue to educate yourselves and others. More numbers means more power. Attend Tea Parties, talk to other people. Get to know each other, because the road ahead will be hard, and you must know who you will be standing with.

5. Seek alternative forms of compensation that do not use the Federal Reserve System dollars. Use exchange/bartering systems to exchange goods and services amongst people you know and trust. Establish ways to pay people based on gold and silver, a system which does not devalue over time the way that paper money has in every major civilization before.

These are but a few suggestions that need your careful review and consideration. It should be pointed out that we, in our struggle for independence against the tyrannical British Empire, were ultimately successful using tactics such as these. They worked then, and will work today. But understand, this can come at a high cost. It would not be surprising if I, at some point, am taken away to a holding area as a detainee, because in writing these words, I am branded an enemy combatant against the United States Government machine.

But we all have to remember, and beware that failure to act means the future of the Republic we built could diminish liberties even further, or worse, cease to exist. I will write about what that means for the future of this country in my next edition.

Building a Coalition: From the Bottom Up, or the Top Down?

My fellow Americans,

I'll tell you today, on behalf of the founding fathers, what we see today happening in this movement.

There are many local groups that have emerged as part of the 912 Project, the Tea Party Groups, and other grass roots efforts that continue to meet, and discuss, what is happening in this country.

All of this is good. A similar effort occurred when my cousin, Samuel Adams, started to gather friends and family and other like-minded people, when he formed the 'Sons of Liberty'. While I did not agree with all his 'Sons of Liberty' methods, the more respectful 'Committee of Correspondence' he also helped established enabled us to become more organized, and allowed us to document the liberties which were being systematically taken from us, almost daily. This Committee of Correspondence spread from town to town, and it was effective in helping to educate all who would hear, what was happening throughout the colonies. It was that sense of shared purpose that helped establish our state as a leader in the long fight to have our liberties returned to us, to 'we the people'

There are also many nationally established groups that have been in existence for many years. Groups such as The Heritage Foundation, The Alliance Defense Fund, Resistnet, Club for Growth, and many others, and my apologies if I have neglected to mention your personal favorite. But it will not, I hope, spoil your read, because there is a lesson in this for us all.

In the years that the above mentioned groups have been in existence, one must ask the question: why have not these groups combined, merged their capabilities, and worked together to achieve the common goals and aims that each of them work so hard at individually? We ourselves, in our struggle, learned very early on that one voice who is complaining about some policy by a tyrannical government is no match for the will of the people, who have combined their power into one strong machine that demands a change in the status quo. And so it would be the same situation here, that if this vast collection of capabilities would combine in some way, would not their message become even stronger as 'one voice'?

And at the national level, these groups which I mention above, all are working to gain members, get donations, they sell books, they sell 'speakers' who will come and speak to a gathering about the liberties which are being taken from us...some of these groups have large, well paid working staff members as well. One has to also ask the question, do these groups really want change, for would it not endanger their very existence and power if change actually occurred? Would not many of these 'companies' be out of business? They do not want to combine because they would lose their power.

For the 912 movement groups, and the tea party groups, one of two types of organizations are emerging. The first, where it all started, was at the meetup level. Concerned citizens gathering in their homes, in small meeting rooms, churches, schools, literally anywhere they could find to simply begin to learn what is happening, where are things heading if nothing is done, and try to find out ways to fight and rally against it. Using the internet, you are exchanging information with each other much in the same way the Committee of Correspondence did in helping to spread the word of injustice your tyrannical government is taking away, in a systematic way, all of your liberties.

The other type of organization that is emerging is that of the large national machine, in which they deploy social networks on the ning system, they use technology such as skype, and ventrillo in order to help bridge the communication gap between large states that are great distances away. They have organization charts that you see, like this one:

This site, was started by Patrick Jenkins. Here, there is no hiding behind the keyboard, for as we look at his organizational chart, we see that Patrick is firmly at the top, not necessarily because he was elected to that position, but he sits on the top because he was the person who established the site. Is it a surprise that the top person running the organization is the very person who started the website? I would say no. But at least he appears to be more accessible to the masses, he actually gives out his phone number, but we really do not know his background.

And here's another national website: http://the912project.us/. This site was started by Jared Law. They boast that they have over 15,000 members now. A question that a number of 912ers who belong to his site have said is why have there been no real movement to get more people involved in the administration of the site, get people even more motivated to succeed for the cause. At one point early in the forming of the site, Jared called for nominations of two representatives from each state that would form the 'interim leadership' positions to help guide the next phase of development for the organization. To my knowledge, such an initiative never went farther than his lips, and no action has been taken. And here again, we know nothing about Mr. Law.

And then you have another national group: http://www.thenational912coalition.net/, started by someone named KC Freeman. I don't know if anyone has actually spoken to this person, and I've never seen any resume or qualifications-not even a phone number is anywhere to be found that I've been able to find on the website. And although this site is named with the '912' posting, upon careful inspection, the 9 principles and 12 values are no where to be found. Instead, they have been modified into a different set of precepts, which by the way are quite good and well considered, but I doubt most people on KC's site know this, and I would say is borderline deceptive.

And when it comes to resumes or qualifications, and this is true for all of these groups, it should be remembered that at the first Continental Congress, the minutes will show that when we assembled, one of the first tasks we took was that each delegate presented his qualifications for the congress so that we could know who they were, what their background was, and what made them who they are and why they were here. I have not seen any such disclosure, in fact, I don't know if KC is a man or a woman. I think that when 'leaders' ask others to follow, most followers want to know who they are being led by. It is a perfectly logical question to ask.

So we now come to the point of circling back to the initial premise, as to why some of these national groups, and some of the 912 national groups, do not combine their forces in order to bring all the 912ers under one umbrella. Have any of these national leaders ever talked with each other about combining the groups for the good of the movement? I do not know the answer to this. When I have asked some of the 912 leaders of these national sites about this, the common answer is this: "the other groups are more than welcome to come to my site, we will gladly take the other members into our group". So it seems they are more interested in building their member numbers than advancing the cause. And it is clear that without any discussion like this, there is very little discussion about how to unite the groups, truly unite the groups, under a cause and a set of action that will be coordinated by the 'one voice' that can put the power back into the hands of the people. Could it be that they too do not want to lose their power, in this case, over you?

My fellow citizens, what you are experiencing is power of the many, in the hands of a few. And I believe this is one of the things we are all fighting against in Washington DC, and in our home states and towns. Any organization, large or small, can find the lure of power a very compelling thing, and it can lead to tyranny at every level.

Think about what I have written, and decide for yourself. Who do you wish to follow? Do you wish to follow someone far away that you really may not know at all, or do you put your trust in yourself, and your neighbors? It is clear to me that the way the 912 movement will succeed is through the people, not a few sitting at the top of the throne making gestures about unity without really working toward it. The secret is that the we do not need leaders, we simply need each other. So my advice is to keep working and solidifying your local meetup groups. Organize regionally, get to know neighboring groups from towns nearby. Build a sense of fellowship and common purpose. Educate, and organize in your states, so that you can become first, one voice in your state. Each of the states, , can come together to form a national agenda, much in the same way we did this when we sent representatives to the first Continental Congress. It will likely not happen if you subjugate your rights to a few leaders whose agenda we are not quite sure of.

The road to a renewed republic

My fellow citizens,

The road to a new republic that we founding fathers took, started first by concerned citizens, gathering in small groups, in their communities, much like you are doing today in your meetup groups as the various groups learn, plan, coordinate and organize.

But most of our discussions revolved around what was happening to us, learning from each other what their views of the importance of action, vs. inaction. It was discussion about the concern of the direction of our country. We put to pen and paper, the list of concerns, and delivered it to the British Government. This first letter, which was one of many, was written by my good friend, Benjamin Franklin.

This Redress of Grievences was issued, and served to help us focus our efforts as a group, on those issues which were of most importance to us in our day.

We founding fathers see some of you have started this process today. I suggest you have a look at what some of your fellow citizens are concerned about. It may be that you agree as well:

Defining Purpose, Defining Leadership

My fellow citizens,

It has been a few weeks from my last post, and we founding fathers continue to be hopeful that this movement continues to have legs that will allow it to run the long race which is before you. In order for you all to understand what I mean by this, it is important to review what we went through during what you now call, the Revolutionary Period:

1764 to 1774-We early colonists started to question, assemble, organize, and wrote petitions to the British government, hoping, and praying, for change in their policies. During this period, after many intrusions on our liberty by the British empire, and our repeated requests for an amicable set of agreements, the British sent their first troops who arrived in Boston in September of 1768 to deal with the 'problem child' to the west. Over the years following their arrival, we endured the Boston Massacre (1770), showed our resolve at the Boston Tea Party (1773), and we held the First Continental Congress (1774).

1775-Lexington & Concord. We assembled on the grass in Lexington to show our principles in action, while British troops advanced toward us. That day, 8 colonists were killed, and 10 wounded. Later that day, in Concord, it could be said that this was the 'unofficial' start of the American Revolution, though such talk had been heard for many years before that dreadful day.

Less than a month after the battle of Lexington & Concord, we assembled for the Second Continental Congress, and later that year, the Battle of Bunker hill further increased pressure on both sides. Even then, many were hoping for an amicable agreement, in fact, in the middle of that summer, the 'Olive Branch Petition' was sent. But all of our pleading fell on deaf ears.

1776-The Congress recommended formation of new state governments, followed by the Resolution to affirm independence, and on July 4, the official Declaration of Independence, was drafted and confirmed. This led us down a path to which there was no turning back.

We would either be free, a new country, independent of British tyranny, or we would not.

1777 to 1786-Bloodshed, destruction, lives lost, treaties with other countries signed, most notably with France (1778), more lives lost, with finally a Peace Treaty was signed (1783).

1787-We assembled the Constitutional Convention and met, over the course of the spring and summer. It was not until December of that year, that the first state, Delaware, ratified the new Constitution. This was followed soon after by Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

1788-With the coming of the new year, many other states followed suit: Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, and finally, after much effort through the Federalist Papers, New York. It can be said that no one simply rushed to jump to a consolidated National Agenda, simply because a document was drafted.

1789-North Carolina ratifies the Constitution.

1790-Fully 29 months (more than 2 years!) after Delaware first ratified, Rhode Island ratified the Constitution.

So what is the point of this very condensed history of the revolutionary period?

Looking at the timeline above, you will note all of these events occurred over a 26 year period!

While some historians may say this was an 'inevitable' sequence of events, something which I heard often from my good friend Thomas Jefferson, not all of the founding fathers necessarily agreed. Mr. Jefferson spoke of the inevitability of the United States. But in many ways, we were reacting to that which was presented to us at the time. There was no 'road map' for any of us, no blueprint or set of alternatives that could be identified in which all of the states, could agree, on action.

So I would ask you, those who are involved in the 912 movement, the Tea Parties, I Caucus, Patriotic Resistance, We the People groups:

What is it that you seek to achieve, and how will you do it?

In looking back at the history which we made, we founders believe that what is suggested for your movement, is a basic 'organizational plan' that will help you how to think about organizing your activities as a group. And it no longer is just about one group, it is about uniting around that which you can all agree.

The reason for this is that while on paper (the Constitution) and from a distance, it looked like we all agreed on how to make a new country and that it was easy. I can tell you that it was not. There were many days that I professed to my dear Abigail that I felt the very real despair of 'inevitable' failure that was always close to our door. This is because there were many, many, self serving interests which needed to be appeased and negotiated.

The hope is that you can avoid all of the long and difficult years of struggle that we had to endure in order to achieve our goal. We believe that your reclaiming your country can be done systematically and peacefully, but with determination and resolve. Our job here is not to tell you what you should do, but we can provide some advice based on our own experiences. It will ultimately be up to you as a consolidated group, to chart out and work toward your mission.

But what is the mission? How do you define a mission?

This starts with defining what your objectives are, how you will do it, who will do it, and how you measure your progress. In other words, start by asking what, in the end, do you want to see happen?

For us, the mission was to regain our liberty from a tyrannical British government in which we had no vote, and no voice. By defining that mission, we were able to shape the actions and decisions which supported that mission.

This process of defining the end goal is the foundation of a plan that every successful group should have well thought out. It is my experience that when you know what you want to do, and how you will do it, it is much easier to communicate that to each person, so that they can see where they can fit in and contribute in the most effective way to the goals you have collectively defined. It also diminishes duplication of effort, and it provides clear goals and responsibilities for all involved, at every level (town, state, and nationally).

In order to do this, it will be important first for you to identify your leadership. You already are starting that process; you have local leaders working in small groups in your communities, and some are working to organize your states.

Others are working to organize nationally, however, at each level, there continues to be significant duplication of efforts; there is lot's of energy, but not all of it is directed.

In some cases, and this is a cause of significant worry to the founding fathers, there are a very small number of a few, still making policy directives and decisions on behalf of large numbers of people, without the their input. And isn't this one of the main issues in Washington today? Isn't this what you are all fighting against?

We believe that you should call for elections at every level, set defined periods of service (term limits), followed again by elections to ensure that the agenda of the people, are heard every step of the way.

The process of change sometimes takes a long and torturous route, but this is not a foregone conclusion. Think about what you want to achieve first, and the pathways (the actions), will reveal themselves. But first, start to get your leadership in place, by election, not self appointment.

Then, assemble the Third Continental Congress for all the groups (912, We the people, Patriotic Resistance, Tea Parties, etc.), in short, all of you who share common ideas about the change in America you think is necessary. I wrote in my last blog about the subject of holding the Third Continental Congress.

For your consideration on how to unite: The Third Continental Congress

My fellow citizens,

Many of you no doubt are wondering about this blog; in fact, I've heard from more than one of you that as I am not 'real' then I have nothing worth saying and therefore nothing worth contributing to the discussion about how large groups, with many personalities, can ultimately unite.

Others have written me that they are afraid that I may be a spy, subverting and distracting the 912ers and the tea partyers that what I talk about may be disrupt to the unificaton process.

I can say assurdly, that the goal of the founding fathers is pure; we have no desire to assume leadership roles in the united group-we are long dead and gone, our bodies have been returned to mother earth that gave us life, so that life can be renewed in other ways.

No, our aim is to to help you think about the process by which you will ultimately unite, and not to compel you by requirement, any agenda for a particular process. It will be your own to decide. But I have some experience in this matter of unifying under stressful conditions. I do not need to tell you how pressing and how urgent the current state of our country is in; you know it, and this is what has lit the match and now whose flame is growing stronger.

But how do groups from all over this country actually come together? And how do groups, who are organized by one or two people (who basically control thousands of 'followers' behind their keyboards), unite? There are more than a few sites we have discovered:

And the list goes on. If I did not list your site, please email them to me, and I will happily post them. Added to that is the fact that there are regional groups, state groups, and individual meetup local sites, with their own domain names and websites. It is a very confusing business. It may seem like this is a situation only reserved for today's internet age, I can assure you that this is not that special. For in our days, we founders found there to be as many individual interests as there were people. So history can indeed repeat. So how did we handle all of these competing interests?

When we founders were working to unite the 13 states, what we agreed was to convene a series of meetings, which we called the Continental Congress. A very good summary I was able to find here. But there are many books that have been written which describe what went on in much greater detail for those that wish a more scholarly path.

The First Continental Congress showed us, after much debate and discussion, how to assemble a coalition ready to act.

It was not enough to simply assemble, for our mission was not much different than yours is today.

We worked first to organize our states, and then came together in a shared pupose: to assemble an army to repel the tyrannical British empire with their Redcoats and hired mercenaries, and later, to draft, and then ratify, the Constitution of the United States.

We founders believe that convening such a meeting, a Third Continental Congress, should be held when the elected representatives, those that are duly elected by the membership, of all 50 states, are chosen.

We are, of course, particular to Philadelphia, but you have access to electronic meetings that we did not. It would be, we believe, an excellent symbolic message however, if the elected representatives did in fact, meet in front of the very steps we walked those many years ago.

This Third Continental Congress can be used as a forum to discuss how you will establish and govern your national group. It is important to note that we strongly suggest that the word 'elected' is well-defined here. Appointed by a lead organizer of a group does not constitute elected, because an appointment comes from an authority which has been granted by the people. I would submit to you that the organizers now helping to spread the word about the 912 Project, are simply that.

Many of these organizers are working both locally and nationally. But none of them are actually elected by the people. They were simply early in the process, recognizing that they could help assemble people to the cause. And their service to this cause and the tireless hours are very much appreciated by the people. But what we founders suggest is that each state should be represented at the Third Continental Congress, by vote of its state members. In some cases, this could of course mean that the organizers may also be the elected representatives, and this makes perfect sense, because they have been duly elected by the people of the state they reside in.

There will likely be resistance to this by some, and you know from reading our own experience so many years ago in early America, that resistence by the 'leaders' to yield to an approach that is anything but their way should be a strong indication that their motives may perhaps not in line with the motives of the people. So we shall see how those organizers react to this suggested pathway to unity, which again, we share with the people for their due consideration. I again bring back to view the experience we founders had-there is no difference today. Each state had its own organizers, who were resistant to change, and we do not believe it to be any different today.

I look forward to hearing from you about whether you feel this idea makes sense. And when I hear that feedback, I will know whether you, the people, agree with the founders suggestion, or if you reject it in favor of an alternative. We are agreeable either way, so long as the people are deciding, and not one person sitting behind a keyboard. We trust in the citizens of the United States to be able to decide.

the912Project…a message from the founding fathers

Dear Citizens of these United States:

I and the other founding fathers are pleased with the grass roots effort now underway to restore these United States to the founding principles and values to which we all hold dear and which have made this country great.

It will be important in the coming days to see how determined the movement is in its desire for true unity. There were many days I feared the fragile coalition we stitched together between the 13 colonies over months and years would unwind through our very fingertips.

I do not say this lightly; we pray that this movement will continue to grow; that it can stand the tests which are sure to come. The enemies of a united people are many. In more than one instance, we can see that those that are assembling 912ers in groups both locally, and nationally, perhaps may have their own agendas at work. I can tell you my friends from my own experience…this can be more potent than any British Redcoat, armed to the hilt, with cannons more powerful than our own.

We have seen new endeavors whose purpose is not principally to unite the people, but instead, for perhaps personal fame, power, or money. Such was the case when we started the process of the Declaration of Independence, and later, the drafting of the Constitution of the United States. There were many who did not want to give up their personal fortunes, and those who wanted to maintain the status quo. But through diligence and hard work, through toil and sometimes, despair, that this fragile republic might melt like a spring snow, we were able to find unity in our goal to let freedom once again ring throughout the land.

We founding fathers have enlisted a growing group of trusted American citizens whose mission is to discover who are the real patriots who support the 912project and what it really stands for. This group has been tasked to find and confront those who are deceiving other 912ers, whether it be for power, fame, or monetary gain.

In addition, in collaboration with the founding fathers, through the foresight and benevolence of a small group of dedicated 912ers, we have already established a central structure, whereby 912ers can accomplish their goal of uniting, under one organization, funded purely by donations of its members and which shall remain anonymous.

We have secured this framework whereby all 912ers can electronically assemble, much in the same way we founders assembled together, without the pressures of competing lobbyists, without pressures of pay-to-play, political favors, without fear of censorship and monitoring, i.e., free of any of the problems this movement, in its purest form, is currently fighting against.

We do these things of our own volition, we will give this central structure freely to the 912project, so that the united group may go about the real work of the912project: uniting as one voice against an oppressive and expanding government now out of control.

We do not ask for anything in return. The united 912 group can use the structure as its members see best fit to deploy it, in a governing body of the united 912 group, duly elected by its members.

I will be writing here from time to time, what I see, and what I hear. In the coming days, I will reveal the structure for your review, and comment. On this site there are no restrictions - we do not approve or remove any submitted post. Meanwhile, the work goes on to become one united voice.
